CanadaZakat first started as an initiative by DawaNet over a decade ago. Effective March 1st, 2025, has officially been transferred over as an approved program to our affiliate charity, DawaNet Charitable Services (Registration # 762916476 RR 0001). CanadaZakat donors can now receive Official Donation (Tax) Receipts for their contributions.

Note: There is no change to how Donors & Zakat Applicants access CanadaZakat. You may continue making contributions / applying for assistance via CanadaZakat.org.

Tax Receipts for donations received during the current calendar year will be issued by DawaNet Charitable Services in February of next year via Email.
